Revenge
Chip Curtis has been a lost boy since the death of his bio-geneticist father two years ago in a car accident. Chip is nicknamed “skunk” by his best friend, Nate, because he has a narrow stripe of white hair on the back of his head.
As the novel opens, Chip is preparing to move on to seventh grade. Trying to fit in at school better than the last year, Chip desperately wants to join the club known as the “Ins.”
Chip and his friend, Nate, take a dare as initiation into the Ins and end up arrested for vandalism, suspended from school and sent to juvenile court. At court they learn that Morgan Devlin has been tried and found guilty of brutally killing hundreds of owls by removing their brains for no apparent reason. The defendant is a very angry man and threatens the local town of Salt City and a local boy named Chip Curtis. To Chip’s dismay, he also learns that Morgan has escaped from the psychiatric hospital and has sworn to get Chip!
Home alone, Chip sneaks into his father’s study which his mother keeps locked and looking just the way his father left it. Chip feels close to his father and retrieves the stuffed bear he left in the study as a tribute to his father. He accidentally finds an envelope addressed to Chip and his mother in his father’s handwriting. It promises a special birthday gift for Chip and suggests that his father may not have died accidentally. He was probably murdered.
Chip and his friends begin a treasure hunt filled with adventure and terror. Readers will be amazed at the surprise ending and thoroughly enjoy the adventures Chip and his friends have solving this mystery!

F. T. Pandora is a healthcare attorney who began writing fictional accounts of young boys’ adventures for his five year old son’s bedtime entertainment. As his son grew up, the stories became more complex and with very intricate plots. Ultimately, the bedtime stories led Pandora to study writing middle grade fiction at the Institute For Children’s Literature in West Redding, Connecticut. His son studied Spanish and European Business in Barcelona, Spain last year and will shortly graduate from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. His son still loves to read and enjoys writing himself. Someday they may author a novel together. Until then, F.T. Pandora has two more middle grade novels to be published soon.
