Subject: Kids Have A Need to Read! Tamarack and Waldenbooks Host Children’s Book Authors This Weekend in Beckley, WV

(Terra Alta) West Virginia authors will be featured this weekend at Tamarack and Waldenbooks, Crossroads Mall so bring the kids to these fun events! Headline Books authors Melinda Chambers, We Are Whoooo We Are, and well known husband and wife team, Martin and Delia Wach, Teddy Bear Guardians of the Rain Forest series, will all be in Beckley this weekend.

The Wachs will be at Tamarack on Saturday, January 13th, to sign copies of their books, T, and new to Tamarack this month, The Great West Virginia Snow Adventure CD! Martin and Delia Wach bring the rich culture of the South American rain forests and interactive art to students from coast to coast with their wonderful books. The Great West Virginia Snow Adventure, third in the series of Rain Forest adventures, is
a charming tale about the Teddy Bears in the Rain Forest smuggling themselves to a West Virginia school so they can see snow!

The Wachs are in the top 2% of successful children’s book authors in the United States. As part of the Headline Kids School Show Program, they will be visiting their 300th school this month! Delia Wach, highly acclaimed water color artist, illustrates their books. “The kids are amazing,” says Delia, “we have visited many schools in Raleigh County and these kids are talented and ready to learn! They make every school visit an adventure.”

Melinda Chambers will be at Waldenbooks, Crossroads Mall 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13th and at Tamarack on Sunday, January 14th. Chambers, a West Virginia teacher, will be signing her new book, We Are Whoooo We Are. It is “right on” and encourages children to be happy with whoooo they are. Father owl teaches his son to be true to himself even though the owlet wants to be like a blue jay or a mockingbird or many other birds in the forest.

Chambers captures not only the importance of character education; she also introduces the science of birds and their habits. Captivating art work by Jane Lew resident Sue Ann Spiker will delight all readers. Chambers, also part of the Headline Kids School Show Program, will be traveling this year to West Virginia schools sharing her wonderful story with grade school students. She kicks off her program on Friday, January 12th at Lester Elementary School in Lester, WV. “I am looking forward to visiting schools this year,” says Chambers, “my story can help children understand
they are wonderful just as they are and help them make choices that are right for them.” She urges students to enhance their character, be true to themselves, and they will find life unfolding successfully for them.
