(Terra Alta)— Headline Books announces the release of its newest children’s book, The Adventures of Casey the Lost Suitcase, by Tracy S. Kincaid. “Tracy Kincaid and her wonderful book are welcome additions to the Headline Kids School Show Program,” said Cathy Teets, president of the company. “Tracy’s book will captivate the grade school set and they will learn about geography from her character, Casey. In addition to how to pack a suitcase this new book will also introduce travel skills such as negotiating an airport and even airport security.”
First in a series, The Adventures of Casey is based on a true story of a lost suitcase that ended up much more traveled than its’ owner! It takes the reader from West Virginia to an exciting, unplanned European adventure for Casey who gets lost at the beginning of the trip at the airport. Casey’s owner is going to Italy but Casey lands in England. Many nice people try to help Casey get to the right destination but he has a series of very interesting stops along the way!
Excellent book to read before a trip or take along on the airplane, Casey’s adventures will create great conversation. Children love to decide what to pack in Casey for a long trip and will enjoy Casey’s new friends he meets as he passes from airport to airport.
Kincaid also illustrated the book and her delightful drawings will also be incorporated into a series of paper dolls, games, and classroom activities. She is part of the Headline Books School Show Program and does author visits as well as speaking engagements. Tracy Kincaid will be on book signing tour this fall and winter and will be a featured author at the West Virginia Book Festival in October in the Headline Books booth.
Author Tracy Kincaid lives in the mountains of West Virginia with her husband, James. She is the mother of two children, Justin and Gina. She attended Concord University, Athens, WV and Tracy has worked with elementary-age children during the past several years.
