Worlds Largest Teddy, Stuffed at Charleston, WV, Nov 22
(Terra Alta) E.G. Bear Company and hundreds of school children are ready to set a new Guinness World Record. Evan, the 57' tall bear will be stuffed at the Clay Center in Charleston, WV on November 22, 2008 as part of a special holiday event. After completion, the 25' wide patchwork bear will be on display at the Charleston Area Medical Center in the Children's Wing until auction.

Each person attending the November event will receive a bucket of stuffing to put inside Evan, sign their name on bear-size wooden heart to go inside Evan and receive a copy of E. G. Bear's latest book, Teddy Bear Helps on the Farm.

Participants will be able to win door prizes by donating canned food to help make holiday gift baskets for Charleston area families. The group will hold an auction of the bear donating money to the CAMC foundation to help with children's education programs.

"Volunteers are still needed to deliver gift baskets and sponsors are needed to purchase tickets for those less fortunate," said Jason Lynch, president of E.G. Bear Co. "This project is definitely a labor of love and we are also still taking reservations for those groups or organizations who would like to display Evan either before or after the auction. Evan's appearance will be wonderful for fund raising and special events."

Lynch started his online store in 2006 and now the E. G. Bear Company has branched out into the global wholesale market and now provides specialty items for local and national companies that include book characters, puppets, and kits. 100% of all E. G. Bear Company's products are proudly made in West Virginia. Jason Lynch, U. S. Small Business Administration's 2007 Home-based Business Champion of the Year for West Virginia, was also awarded the 2005 Top Toy Producer for Tamarack, Best of West Virginia, located in Beckley, WV and the 2007 Generation Next 40 under 40 from the West Virginia State Business Journal.

Churches, businesses, and community groups are making generous donations to the ticket drive to help families attend the event that may be financially stressed this season. This a wonderful way to do the most good during the holiday season and give children a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you would like to help or get more information call 800-371-9356.
